Welcome and thank you for taking time to visit this online listening party!
I just finished recording and mixing my latest song "Summer's Rain" which is a Savatage-cover from the album "Gutter Ballet".

It's always scary to share something you put a lot of effort in, cause after a while, you tend to get blind and deaf and you can't see the forest for all the trees, if you know what I mean.

Well, now it's done and I hope you like it.

Big thanks to Kevin Rothney from Jon Oliva's Pain, who gave me a tip a while ago that I should check out some JOP-videos at this certain site, and it was then that I came across a beautiful acoustic performance.
It was "Summer's Rain".

I was just about to book the studio and hadn't yet decided on what to record. I had an original song of mine lying around that I wrote years ago, but there was no time to rehearse it on such short notice.

I really loved this song and decided to do my version of it.
Mr Jon Oliva - you're a brilliant songwriter. "Summer's Rain" is only one of so many fantastic songs that you've written. It's been a pleasure singing it.

Thanks to the boys who came to my rescue when I called them in the last minute and asked if they wanted to help me out with this recording:

MK, Johnny Benson, Henge, and Pete Mansson (see pics on top of this page).

Also, thanks to Dejan at Flatpig Studio for being so patient with me
when I was bitching in the studio.
I would probably STILL be there if they hadn't kicked me out
telling me it sounded just FINE! :-)

(You will need to have Windows Media Player or Quicktime installed on your computer,
and preferably a broadband connection to hear this without "jumps".

Congratulations, girl!
Really good stuff!

With your very strong and fierce voice you gave an extra something to the music that already has such good vocal melodies.

Awesome! You have a wonderful voice Daniela, and you use it skillfully.
I love the warm richness in the lower notes, as well as the ease with wich you swing high up into the stratosphere.

Summer's rain suits you perfect, and frankly, I prefer your version to the original.

Great backup from the band too, that guitar and your voice... mmm, I like it!

Keep up the good work, I'd love to hear more!
